We have prepared this web site mainly as a means of introducing our family and our philanthropic efforts to those potential participants of the See Galilee program.

We are doing our part to continue a family tradition of supporting financially and volunteering time to our local community, national causes of concern, the Jewish people in the diaspora and Israel. The organizations listed to the right are those we believe in and support

We chose to craft our own version of an overseas program instead of solely giving money to an existing program.  We want and need to feel the connection between our gifts and the lives they touch.   We want to be involved personally in the work and to be able to impact the project. We want to help and build community in the heartland of the United States for those kids and their communities who are often overlooked by the larger Jewish community where opportunities are more abundant.  We wanted to be able to share the wonderful relationship we have built with Galila and David Leichman with those in our part of the world in the hopes that these very close ties can grow and benefit our lives for years to come.

We have to give credit to a good friend and Associate Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City Alan Edelman who introduced us to the idea of helping to send recent college graduates to Israel. We would also like to give a big thanks to Jay Lewis, the very effective and inspirational leader of the Kansas University Hillel and the advisory board of students who helped with valuable input for the program.  We are very confident and thankful to have The Galila Foundation manage the program and we are confident that with the help of Israel Way, the program will be tremendous.  Thanks also to our good friend David Leichman for his insight and leadership in bringing this program to fruition. We hope the program is a success and look forward to building many lifelong friends and partners through this program.
